Who is The Moose Man?
I'm Dustin — known online and in code as The Moose Man. A reverse engineer, exploit developer, and lifelong learner forged in the military and driven by curiosity.
For over a decade, I’ve served in the U.S. Navy — spending 6 of those years in Japan and 3 with the 1st Marine Division. My deployments have taken me to Australia with the Marine Rotational Force Darwin, and later across the Middle East aboard the 15th MEU, including time in Saudi Arabia and the Red Sea.
During that time, I wasn’t just carrying gear — I was carrying questions: How can we break this system? How can we rebuild it better? These questions led me into the world of exploit development and reverse engineering — where curiosity is currency and attention to detail is survival.
Now, I build things. I break things. I document my findings, muse on the technical and philosophical, and share it all through my blog: Moose Mumbles.
The Moose Man isn’t just a name — it’s a lens. It’s about approaching the technical world with quiet confidence, deliberate strength, and a love for wandering through code, memory, and meaning.
